Unimportance Myth Print E-mail

Myth: Language skills, though important, are not critical. It is the technical skills and other related competencies that are critical to the success of a business project. Language is a supplementary or an additional skill.

Fact: While it is true that there is no tangible evidence to really prove that criticality of language skills in the success or failure of a project as a whole, it can be argued that language serves as an important medium of communicating other skill sets. Therefore rather than being a supplementary skill, it is complementary in nature. Lack of clarity mainly stems from the inability to communicate clearly.
